Karen Khachanov defeats Tomas Machac and moves into fourth round of Australian Open

Russian tennis player of Armenian origin, No. 15 seed Karen Khachanov reached the fourth round of the 2024 Australian Open, reports championat.com.

In the third round, Khachanov edged out Tomas Machac, the No. 75 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (5). The match lasted 3 hours and 24 minutes.

Khachanov will face Italian Jannik Sinner, the No. 4 seed, next.

The 2024 Australian Open is a Grand Slam-level tennis tournament being held at Melbourne Park from January 14–28, 2024. The total prize money is $58.91 million.
