Karen Khachanov reaches semifinals of Toronto Masters

Armenian-born Russian tennis player and world No. 16 Karen Khachanov has advanced to the semifinals of the ATP Masters tournament in Toronto.

In the quarterfinals, the 29-year-old defeated American Alex Michelsen with a score of 6–4, 7–6 (7–3).
Khachanov will face German tennis player Alexander Zverev in the semifinals.

This marks Khachanov’s sixth career appearance in a Masters-level semifinal. He previously reached this stage twice in Canada – in 2018 and 2019.
