Russian-Armenian tennis player Karen Khachanov will retain his position as the highest-ranked Russian in the ATP standings following the conclusion of the US Open, TASS reports.

Khachanov, who exited the tournament in the second round, will hold 3,280 ATP points. Andrey Rublev, the last Russian player with a chance to surpass him, was defeated by Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime in the fourth round on Monday. Rublev will finish the tournament with 2,610 points.

The US Open is the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. Held on hardcourt surfaces, the tournament will conclude on September 7. The tournament’s prize purse will top $90 million—the largest in tennis history. The current titleholder is World No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
