Key issues of tourism development in EAEU discussed at 2024 Eurasian Economic Forum in Yerevan

The thematic session entitled “Tourism in the EAEU: New Horizons” was held within the framework of the Third Eurasian Economic Forum in Yerevan. The session was attended by representatives of government agencies, tourism organizations, companies and operators of the EAEU countries, as well as representatives of Cuba, Uzbekistan and Iran, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) website reports.
The session discussed key issues of tourism development. Business representatives shared their experience on the realization of tasks facing the states and the Eurasian integration association.
The attendees underscored the high importance of realizing the potential of the Union for the development of tourism in the EAEU countries.
“Given the geographical proximity of the EAEU countries, cooperation in this industry can become a catalyst for economic growth, an important factor in creating jobs and developing entrepreneurship,” said Minister for Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakhyt Sultanov.
The session also discussed a number of issues relevant to the tourism industry, including the formation of Eurasian tourist routes, improving the quality of tourist services, the concept of tourism development and other issues that are included in the Strategic Directions for Developing Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025.
