Kim Kardashian’s grandmother dies

Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, grandmother of Kim Kardashian, the famous American businesswoman and reality TV star of Armenian descent, has died at the age of 91. Her death was announced by her daughter, Kris Jenner, who posted a heartfelt farewell message on social media.
According to Jenner, it was her mother who taught her the most important lesson, which is to love those close to you, cherish time spent with family, and always support the people who matter most. “Today we said goodbye to my beautiful mom MJ. There are no words to describe what she meant to me and how painful it is to say goodbye to her. My mom was the heart of our family,” Jenner wrote.
Mary Jo Shannon made regular appearances on the reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” and later on “The Kardashians.” Viewers knew her as “Grandma MJ.” In 1980, Shannon opened a children’s boutique, Shannon & Co., in San Diego. She later recalled that even as a little girl, Kim loved helping out in the shop and enjoyed counting the register’s earnings. The cause of Mary Jo Shannon’s death has has not been disclosed.
