Participation in the Eurasian Economic Union gives its member countries a noticeable increase in gross domestic product (GDP) growth, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said when asked whether the Kremlin expects Armenia to suspend its participation in the EAEU, TASS reports.

He emphasized that “it is in the interests of all member states to continue developing the EAEU.”

“In general, the integration process itself [within the Eurasian Economic Union] is very successful; it provides advanced development to the member states,” Peskov said. “The member states know this, and for sure, the share of this integration process in the annual GDP growth rates of the EAEU countries is very, very noticeable.”
