Lecornu says all armaments supplied to Armenia will be defensive

French Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu said that all armaments supplied to Armenia will be defensive.

“I will not go into details about what kind of equipment will be delivered to Armenia, but all the armaments have defense significance, because the priority in this region is to protect the population and borders,” the French Armed Forces Minister said during a joint press conference with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan.

Lecornu stressed that no one can be criticized for developing the army’s capabilities.

“If Armenia needs short-, medium-, and long-range missiles, they will also become part of the development of defense capabilities,” Lecornu said.
