Malkhas Amoyan dedicates his victory to Armenian and Yezidi peoples

Malkhas Amoyan, three-time European champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, shared his emotions about the championship in Bucharest with ArmSport, right after winning the gold medal.

“I am happy that I was able to become a three-time European champion. This year turned out to be a bit more difficult. I had four fights, and the quarterfinal and semifinal fights were much harder. I dedicate my victory to the Armenian and Yezidi peoples,” Amoyan said.

In the finals of the European Championship, Amoyan defeated 7-0 the world bronze medalist, Turkish Yunus Basar.
