Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova sees an American influence in the appearance of anti-Russian posters in Yerevan ahead of Lavrov’s visit.

“Do you know how many people work at the US Embassy in Yerevan…2,000 people. Perhaps some of them haven’t yet realized that they shouldn’t be worsening Armenian-Russian relations. Or maybe some in Armenia still have not run out of USAID money,” she said.
