Melsik Baghdasaryan may face Murtazali Magomedov at UFC Fight Night 279

A featherweight bout between Armenian fighter Melsik Baghdasaryan and Murtazali Magomedov is set for UFC Fight Night 279 in Las Vegas on June 21, in the featherweight division (up to 65.8 kg).

Baghdasaryan began his MMA career in 2013 and made his UFC debut in 2021. He holds a professional record of 8–3 and is 3–2 in the UFC. He last stepped into the octagon in February 2025, when he was stopped by Jean Silva via TKO in the first round.

Magomedov is a Kyrgyz fighter and former OCTAGON league featherweight champion. He signed with the UFC in September 2025, and this bout is expected to be his promotional debut. The undefeated Kyrgyz fighter carries a record of 10–0.
