Memorial plaque honoring Grigor Narekatsi unveiled in Netherlands

A solemn ceremony was held at the Basilica of Saint Nicholas in the heart of Amsterdam to unveil a high-relief memorial plaque in honor of the great Armenian thinker, poet, and theologian St. Gregory of Narek (Grigor Narekatsi).

The ceremony was attended by members of the community of the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Holy Spirit, representatives of sister churches, as well as the city’s spiritual and cultural figures.

The monument will become a pilgrimage site for Armenians living far from their homeland, as well as attract the attention of local residents and tourists visiting Amsterdam.
