More than 10 world leaders congratulate Russian President Vladimir Putin on re-election

Leaders of more than 10 countries and Pope Francis have sent their congratulations to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his re-election.

Among those who congratulated Putin are Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan), Shavkat Mirziyoyev (Uzbekistan), Luis Arce (Bolivia), Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua), Xiomara Castro (Honduras), and Miguel Díaz-Canel (Cuba). Congratulations were also sent by the governor of the Gagauz autonomy of Moldova, Evghenia Guțul, and the Prime Minister of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Putin on his re-election as well.
