Moscow to host literary event dedicated to Armenian poet Silva Kaputikyan
On December 12, the Union of Armenians of Russia in Moscow will host a literary event dedicated to the distinguished Armenian poet of the 20th century, writer and publicist Silva Kaputikyan.
During the event, the famous works of the poet will be recited, and the participants will talk about her life and artistic journey.
Silva Kaputikyan was one of the leaders of the Karabakh movement and participated in hunger strikes and other protests along with many prominent Armenian figures. Together with publicist Zori Balayan, she met with Mikhail Gorbachev on February 26, 1988, hoping to influence the resolution to the Karabakh issue.
