“Most CC MPs privately take pride in Samvel Karapetyan being Armenian”: Vardevanyan

Samvel Karapetyan is an Armenian born in Armenia, in Tashir, who rose to such heights that he made it onto the Forbes list, Parliament Speaker Aram Vardevanyan said from the National Assembly rostrum.

According to him, most MPs from the Civil Contract faction, despite political clichés, privately feel proud of Samvel Karapetyan’s Armenian origin.

“Having earned money outside Armenia, Karapetyan invested it, including in Armenia, through charity, job creation and other programs. The same Samvel Karapetyan who, for example, I don’t understand for what reasons, perhaps you know better, helped a great deal during the 44-day war. Former Defense Minister David Tonoyan spoke about this as well,” Vardevanyan noted.
