If any MP ended up in parliament as a result of election bribery, the authorities are obliged to file a request to annul the election results. This was stated in the National Assembly by Arega Hovsepyan, a deputy from the Strong Armenia faction.
“If at least one MP is here thanks to election bribes, then you are the authorities: file a request to cancel the election results and hold new ones. This is not a proposal, but a mandatory requirement. Nobody has the right to appear in this building through election bribery,” Hovsepyan said, addressing the deputies from the Civil Contract party.
Speaking about regional developments, the statements by the Azerbaijani side and the Armenian authorities’ response to them, the deputy emphasized: “The negotiation process has failed precisely because the Armenian authorities do not properly monitor the statements by regional leaders, particularly the President of Azerbaijan, with due attention and analyze them. I urge not to refute opponents, but to respond to the President of Azerbaijan with direct statements.”
