The ceasefire deal signed with Israel is a new hope for the Lebanese, as they will be able to resolve their internal problems, journalist Sako Arian told Alpha News.

“The Lebanese people were happy about the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, as the country was in a state of bloodshed after more than two months of war, with the southern regions almost destroyed and the southern suburb of Beirut completely destroyed. However, it should be noted that the risk of military clashes still exists, as Israeli forces are still on Lebanese territory. The ceasefire is a new hope for the Lebanese to resolve their internal problems, finally elect a president, and move on to political processes.

Speaking of the US attitude, I am sure that Trump will never want to enter the White House with a bloody file, and the proof is this ceasefire, because there was no force in the world that could stop Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Apart from Gaza, he wanted to continue his crimes not only in Hezbollah areas but also in regions populated by Christians, including Armenians,” Arian said.

Commenting on the unrest in Syria, he said that the Syrian issue has not yet been solved.

“The policy of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and cooperation with Russia are under close attention from the West, since the main force playing in the interests of the West on the ground is Israel. The atrocities committed yesterday in Syria have become news in the last 2-3 years, and it should be noted that this is not far from Armenian Aleppo.

And here the question arises: is all this happening so that Bashar al-Assad can block the paths for Hezbollah’s rearmament? This is an important question, since we all know that Hezbollah’s ammunition, which is delivered to Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon by land from Iran, is under threat today,” Arian concluded.
