The Armenian authorities say that Turkey does not pose a threat to Armenia, which means that the presence of third forces on the border with Armenia becomes meaningless, international affairs expert Grigor Balasanyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

“Turkey has always been a threat to Armenia, since the destruction of Armenia is one of the priority goals of Turkish foreign policy. Take a look at their school textbooks and see how Armenians are portrayed there—it will become clear whether Turkey is our enemy or not,” he said.

The expert believes that new surprises await us during Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Turkey and statements related to the idea of Pan-Turkism may follow in the near future.

“These could take the form of remarks related to Turanism. Opinions have already been voiced that Armenia could become an unimpeded corridor for the pan-Turkic project,” the expert added.
