Speaking with Alpha News, a participant in the torchlight procession said:

“I participate in the torchlight procession every year. How can an Armenian not participate? Despite the difficult times, it is now even more important to join the march—to show the world, as well as our internal and external enemies, that an Armenian will never forget this grave crime.”
