There are no specific plans yet for contacts between Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the leaders of Russia and Turkey, but they can be arranged quickly if needed, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary to the Russian president, said.
Erdogan had earlier announced his intention to hold talks with Putin soon to discuss the Ukraine conflict and brief the Russian side on the outcome of his conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, which took place in Turkey.
“No, there are no specific plans for these contacts yet, but if necessary, they can be arranged fairly quickly,” Peskov told journalists, when asked whether Putin was planning any contacts with Erdogan following the Turkish leader’s conversation with Zelensky.
