Nor Nork district chief officially steps down

Head of Yerevan’s Nor Nork administrative district Tigran Ter-Margaryan has stepped down from his position. He made the announcement during a session at Yerevan City Hall. On April 30, Ter-Margaryan, along with the municipality employees, severely beat activist Artur Chakhoyan. Chakhoyan, who sustained injuries, was detained and then taken from the police station to the hospital. He was later released. The incident occurred after Chakhoyan claimed to have uncovered a corruption scheme related to the construction of a kindergarten. Yerevan City Hall reacted to the incident, noting that violence in any form is unacceptable.
