Officer fatally shot by soldier in Vardenis

On January 9, at about 06:20 a.m., a body of contract serviceman Karen Karapetyan with a gunshot wound was found at the combat position of the N military unit, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported.

An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences and support to the family members, relatives and friends of the serviceman.
