Ordinary people are suffering: citizens’ views on government policy
Polls conducted in the Aragatsotn region asked local residents about Armenia’s foreign policy and its direct impact on the country’s economy and the lives of ordinary citizens.
According to one poll participant, the policy pursued by the current authorities is short-sighted and damaging to economic entities.
“I don’t know who benefits from this. But it’s clearly very costly for ordinary villagers who earn their bread by the sweat of their brow, or even for taxi drivers, for that matter. Who benefits from this? Ask the authorities, let them explain why they’ve brought the country to this state,” another respondent said.
One poll participant called on those in power to pursue a flexible and reasonable policy, rather than a confrontational one, in order to develop the country’s own economy.
