Over 17,000 people obtained Armenian citizenship in nine months

In the first nine months of 2025, 17,180 people were granted Armenian citizenship based on submitted applications—an increase of 15.5% compared to the same period last year, Armenia’s Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan reports.

During the same period, citizenship was terminated for 3,166 individuals. This figure also shows a 10.7% increase; however, overall, the number of people acquiring citizenship continues to exceed those giving it up.
