Iveta Tonoyan, press secretary of the chairman of the “Prosperous Armenia” party, announced that their political force will seek to have violations identified from the recent elections.

“Since yesterday evening we have witnessed various arithmetic tricks related to the vote count in favor of the Prosperous Armenia party. During the vote count, one figure was displayed on the CEC website, and with each subsequent update a different, lower, number appeared. At this point, the PAP headquarters states that it will file a request for a recount and will use all available legal instruments in pursuit of identifying electoral violations.

The polling stations for which a recount will be requested are currently being identified, and the grounds for appealing certain decisions and actions are being discussed. That said, this in no way excludes a challenge to the election results as a whole, given the enormous scale of violations we witnessed throughout the entire electoral process,” Tonoyan noted.
