RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed his intention to personally attend the farewell ceremony for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who died as a result of a US-Israeli strike. This was reported by ISNA, citing Ara Shahverdyan, a member of the Iranian parliament representing the Armenian community.

According to him, a meeting with Pashinyan took place during his visit to Armenia. In the course of the talks, the prime minister expressed his readiness to take part in the mourning events. The farewell to Ali Khamenei is scheduled to take place from July 4 to 9.

Ali Khamenei died on the first day of the strike on Tehran, February 28. Official confirmation of this information was released on March 1. Iran’s new supreme leader following Khamenei’s death is his son, Mojtaba, who, due to injury and security considerations, has not yet made a public appearance, but has delivered a number of addresses to the Iranian people.
