Pashinyan congratulates Pope Leo XIV on his election

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory letter to Pope Leo XIV on his election.

“I am convinced that your divine mission will contribute to the establishment of peace, fairness and tolerance around the world. I reaffirm Armenia’s commitment to further deepen and develop the Armenia-Holy See interstate relations and existing high-level political dialogue which is based on strong historic ties, shared-origin values and spiritual and Christian cultural heritage.
