Pashinyan considers any criticism a coup d’état attempt, says expert
Speaking with Alpha News, Russian journalist and political scientist Andrey Sidorchik commented on the news that Armenia suspended broadcasting of Russia’s leading state TV channel.
According to the expert, Pashinyan perceives any Russian media as hostile.
“This is the clearly chosen course of Mr. Pashinyan, which leads to the curtailment of any Russian-Armenian relations, including in the media. This is a continuation of the measures that he had already taken before, so we will apparently expect that in the future, step by step, something similar will continue. There is nothing new to expect here. I believe that it is the psychiatrists who should deal with Mr. Pashinyan’s phobias. Today, in most cases, Mr. Pashinyan perceives any Russian media as hostile. He considers any statement with some criticism towards him a coup d’état attempt,” Sidorchik said.
Speaking about Russia’s reaction, the political scientist noted that in this case, one can only express regret that the worthy Armenian people are ruled by this person.
“At the diplomatic level, Russia may express regret. How else can a very large country respond to the attitude of a very small and problematic politician in another country? One can only express regret that this person rules the very worthy Armenian people,” Sidorchik concluded.
