Pashinyan is doing everything to weaken Armenia – Andrey Lugovoy

Speaking with Alpha News, Russian MP Andrey Lugovoy commented on political persecution in Armenia.

“When the government has no arguments and does not want to lose power, it always resorts to such methods. Pashinyan, in my opinion, has gone crazy. When a person is detained simply for his statements, which are of a general nature, it reflects the mindset of the globalist establishment—which Pashinyan and his team clearly represent. But I am surprised that the people of Armenia are watching this calmly; everything is just heading in an incomprehensible direction. I would have started a revolution there, and as for what to do with Pashinyan—well, I would have to think about it. It’s even difficult to label Samvel Karapetyan as part of the opposition—he simply expressed his position, and when the government reacts like this, it is a fear of losing power,” Lugovoy said.

According to the MP, Pashinyan is doing everything to weaken Armenia.

“As for political persecution, the authorities probably think that it is legal, but it is not. They are following the so-called ‘London manual,’ fully understanding that, apparently, forces are emerging that want to hold Pashinyan accountable. He has been doing everything lately to weaken Armenia,” Lugovoy concluded.
