Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, raised the issue of returning prisoners held in Azerbaijan at the CIS summit in Turkmenistan.

According to him, the issue of those in detention, like the problem of establishing the fates of the missing and other humanitarian issues, awaits resolution.

In Pashinyan’s view, the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not flawless. Obviously, a 30-year confrontation “cannot be switched off with a single flip of a switch,” he added, nevertheless expressing hope for the signing and ratification of a peace treaty.
