Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, told journalists that he does not believe Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, wants to hold snap parliamentary elections.
“Even under threat of execution, Pashinyan will not go for snap elections. He barely got 49%, spending one billion dollars on it,” he said.
Karapetyan also commented on Pashinyan’s statement yesterday that Armenia needs a state-oriented opposition, noting that what the country actually needs is a state-oriented government, since opposition members are always committed to the state.
