Aram Vardevanyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and an MP from the Armenia faction, said in the National Assembly that the peace treaty with Azerbaijan should have been signed before the implementation of the TRIPP project, and that in his view, changing the order is inadvisable.
According to Vardevanyan, it is important to remember how the TRIPP architecture took shape and what role the United States played in that process.
“If Civil Contract can achieve everything through direct negotiations with Azerbaijan, then why did all of this take place in Washington? According to the US President, at the initial stage the United States acted, in a certain sense, as a guarantor. That means there was a need for it, and there is a need for it now,” Vardevanyan said.
