Preparation of route from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan via Iranian territory is underway — Pezeshkian

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in an interview with Azerbaijan’s state television that border and territorial problems between Armenia and Azerbaijan could disappear only after the establishment of political and trade relations, ensuring the rights of both sides.

“Everyone should respect the territorial integrity of their country. The issues of border communications between the states will be solved when political and trade relations are developed, taking into account the rights of the parties. We are now working on preparing a route by which our dear brothers and sisters from Azerbaijan will be able to reach Nakhichevan through Iranian territory,” he said, adding that work in this direction is advancing rapidly.
