Preparations for COP17 in Armenia to be discussed in the European Parliament

A special event dedicated to preparations for the global biodiversity summit will be held in the European Parliament on September 30.

COP17 will take place in Yerevan on October 19–30. Representatives from 196 parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity are expected to attend, along with roughly 10,000–15,000 people from around the world.

The conference will be preceded by a leaders’ summit involving heads of state, heads of government and international organizations, planned for October 16.
