As part of the work carried out by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), Brad Sherman, vice chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Affairs, along with congressmembers Tom McClintock, Judy Chu, and Laura Friedman, will hold a press conference in the US Congress on June 23 marking the 1,000th day since Azerbaijan’s unlawful taking hostage of the military-political leadership of Artsakh, prisoners of war, and civilians. Aram Hamparian will participate in the press conference on behalf of ANCA.

The event will be held under the motto “1,000 days: free Armenian hostages now.” Notably, the press conference is taking place as the House Committee on Foreign Affairs is preparing to consider Brad Sherman’s legislative amendment this week, which calls on Azerbaijan to immediately and unconditionally release all Armenian prisoners of war and hostages.

The press conference, which will begin at 5:00 PM Washington time on June 23, will also address other pro-Armenian legislative proposals.
