The presumption of innocence is the most frequently violated legal guarantee, Aram Vardevanyan, Vice-Speaker of Parliament, stated in the National Assembly.
“The presumption of innocence is the most frequently violated legal guarantee in the Republic of Armenia. Even today, in the National Assembly’s session hall, the NA Vice-Speaker violated the presumption of innocence with his very own statement,” the MP noted.
According to him, laws can change based on political expediency, but law must remain a priority value, which is lacking in Armenia today.
