You should never trust Turks — The People Speak

As part of “The People Speak” project, Alpha News conducted surveys in Yerevan and Armenian-populated communities in the United States and Russia to gather citizens’ opinions on the most significant topics of recent years.
Participants in the Alpha News survey expressed strong and clear views regarding the possibility of Armenian-Turkish friendship.
“The genocide did not begin in 1915, it started in 1886, when they started killing illiterate, impoverished and unfortunate peasants in the villages. Gradually they reached Istanbul, Ankara and so on,” one man said.
“I believe Armenian-Turkish friendship will never be possible. We cannot erase our history and then move on,” another respondent noted.
Survey participants consider the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border to be wrong, emphasizing that this will cause serious damage to the Armenian economy.
“What is a good Turk? You should never trust a Turk,” one of the citizens emphasized.
