Purely a political commission: Vardevanyan on searches at Karapetyans’ homes

Speaking to journalists outside the home of Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, Aram Vardevanyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, commented on the searches being carried out at the homes of Samvel and Narek Karapetyan, noting that “this is probably part of a special offers package.”

According to him, special forces vehicles are on the premises, and officers of the National Security Service are inside the house.

“Such actions were to be expected. Don’t look for any legal basis here. This lies solely in the realm of a political commission, a political assignment and a political order,” Vardevanyan said.
