Putin and Pashinyan to discuss holding relevant referendum in Moscow: Peskov

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, will discuss relations between the two countries and the holding of the relevant referendum in Moscow, particularly the question of Armenia’s orientation toward the EU or the EAEU. This was reported to journalists by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president.

“The heads of state will have the opportunity to once again discuss, from all angles, the main topic of our bilateral relations at present. This topic is, after all, the choice of a development direction, Armenia’s orientation, and the holding of the relevant referendum,” he said.

Earlier, Peskov reported that Pashinyan’s visit to Russia could take place in the near future, though exact dates have not yet been determined. “Quite soon. There are no exact dates yet,” he said, specifying that the Armenian prime minister’s visit would take place this year.
