Residents of Shatin village speak about existing water problems: survey

Residents of the village of Shatin in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province commented on existing water issues in a survey.

“I am not a supporter of the previous authorities. But in those days, no one charged for water from the river,” one participant said.

According to another resident, water is being wasted and flows away toward Azerbaijan.

“Is that right? Today people are facing a water problem, even though there is water. They simply decided to take it away from people. And it is because of them that people cannot live properly today,” another respondent noted.

According to survey participants, they have not encountered poor Armenians in other countries, people are poor only in Armenia.
