Rosatom can build any variant of new NPP preferred by Armenian authorities, First Deputy CEO says

With the support of Rosatom State Corporation, the International Forum kicked off in Sochi, Russia, on March 25, with Eduard Martirosyan, the Armenian NPP CEO, participating.

On the sidelines of the forum, Kirill Komarov, First Deputy CEO of Rosatom Corporate Development, noted that Rosatom can build any variant of the new NPP that the Armenian authorities prefer.

“There are different forecasts of what capacity is needed. Some say that it is necessary to build small units. I am in contact with our colleagues from Armenia. There is an opinion that a 1,000-capacity block may be interesting, especially if we ensure partial export to neighboring countries, for example, Georgia,” Komarov said.
