Roszdravnadzor temporarily halts sale of Armenian water for injections

Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare has introduced a temporary ban on the civil circulation of the popular medicine “Water for Injections,” produced by Yerevan Chemical-Pharmaceutical Company OJSC.

On July 31, the agency published information letter No. 01I-886/26, announcing the suspension. The reason for this decision was that the Armenian manufacturer failed to submit mandatory product quality test protocols to Roszdravnadzor’s automated information system (AIS).

Under Russian legal requirements, pharmacy chains and medical institutions are required to immediately withdraw these batches from circulation, place them in quarantine, and stop using them for medical purposes. The restriction will remain in effect until the company submits all the necessary documents confirming the drug’s safety.
