Russia and the Russian people shared the pain of the Armenian people from the very beginning, Igor Shchegolev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, said in a conversation with Alpha News at the Transfiguration of the Lord Catherdral of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Moscow.

“It is very important to remember that Russia and the Russian people shared this pain of the Armenian people from the very beginning. We have repeatedly affirmed that we unequivocally condemn the events of 1915 and will always stand with the Armenian people,” he said.
