The Kremlin is closely examining all statements made following the US-Ukraine talks in Jeddah the previous day, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said during a press briefing.

“We are closely examining the statements made at the end, familiarizing ourselves with the text of the joint statement adopted in Jeddah,” the Kremlin spokesperson said.

Russia, he said, expects to receive full information about the details of the US-Ukrainian talks in Jeddah during its upcoming contacts with the United States. “We have contacts with the Americans scheduled for these days, during which we expect to already have the full scope of information,” Peskov said.

“Talking to the press both Secretary of State Rubio and US National Security Adviser Waltz said that through various channels they would give us detailed information about the essence of the conversation that took place in Jeddah. We have to receive this information first,” the Kremlin spokesperson emphasized.

According to Peskov, the possibility of a phone conversation between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump may arise as a result of the talks. If necessary, such a conversation could be arranged swiftly, although no agreements have been made so far. Contacts are planned in the coming days, about which the Kremlin will inform later.

Peskov said that a time and location for a potential in-person meeting between Trump and Putin have not yet been determined.
