Russia interested in Armenia’s stability – MFA

Russia is sincerely interested in the stability of fraternal Armenia and would like to see it develop and prosper based on high ideals and benefits, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

“Russia is sincerely interested in the stability of fraternal Armenia… Not only because these are high ideals, and this is primarily so, but also because it is beneficial. A stable, prosperous, and sustainably developing Armenia is what we would like this state and this nation to be,” she said during a media briefing.

Zakharova emphasized that Moscow supports the preservation of constitutional order in Armenia and the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, including religious freedoms.
