Russian Foreign Ministry on consequences of Armenia’s CSTO debt
March 07 2025, 12:25

If Armenia fails to pay its contributions to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) budget by the end of 2025, the member states of the organization “may consider different scenarios,” but they probably won’t kick anyone out, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin told RIA Novosti.
“There may be a two-year debt by January 1 (2026 – ed.), countries may consider different scenarios,” Pankin said.
At the same time, he said, “probably no country will be kicked out.” Pankin noted that there have already been cases when other countries had debt for technical, financial and other reasons.
