The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said at a briefing that 40 tons of humanitarian aid from the Russian government for the Armenians of Artsakh will be sent to Yerevan in the coming days.

According to Zakharova, a mobile power plant capable of providing electricity to dozens of homes will also be sent.

“I hope the aid will be another humanitarian step to support temporary displaced persons,” the diplomat said.

Zakharova added that the Russian humanitarian mission has already provided six tons of aid. Assistance is also provided by Russian companies operating in Armenia, such as Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center, and various volunteer organizations.
