Russian small nuclear power plants have no equivalent in the world: Putin

Russia’s low-power nuclear plants have no equivalent in the world, said Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

“Russia doesn’t just offer others the construction of small modular nuclear plants, it is actually building them for itself,” Putin said.

According to him, other countries and companies only make offers to others but lack experience in actual operation. The Russian leader also noted that new generation facilities should appear in the Arctic zone, including small nuclear plants.

The Eastern Economic Forum is taking place from September 1 to 4.
