Russia’s Anapa to host screening of Tango of Our Childhood starring Frunzik Mkrtchyan

Russia’s Anapa will host a screening of the Armenian movie Tango of Our Childhood (1984) on April 13, the local Armenian community reports.

Before the screening, the audience will be told about the movie and the history of its creation. After the screening, the attendees will share their impressions and discuss the characters.

Tango of Our Childhood is a movie by Albert Mkrtchyan, partly based on the childhood memories of the director himself and his brother, Soviet and Armenian actor Frunzik Mkrtchyan.

Having returned from the war, Ruben (Frunzik Mkrtchyan) leaves his family for the woman who saved his life. Proud Siranush (Galya Novents) cannot accept this and makes attempts to reason with Ruben. The ridiculous and helpless attempts by his children and wife to return Ruben bring him to despair. Confused about his feelings, he commits a rash act and ends up in prison…
