We often forget that we are dealing with Nikol Pashinyan’s government, which today cooperates with the Aliyev regime, Azerbaijani affairs expert Garnik Davtyan told Alpha News, commenting on the reforms carried out in the Armenian Armed Forces.

“We also forget that after the 44-day war, Aliyev declared that there should be no Armenian army. And today’s so-called reforms are aimed at its ultimate disbandment,” he added.

According to Garnik Davtyan, soldiers on the front line receive such low salaries that they struggle to afford basic necessities.

“But if you look at the policies of today’s authorities, they don’t do even 10 percent of what these soldiers do,” the expert emphasized.

Speaking about the ongoing changes in the Azerbaijani army, Garnik Davtyan said, “They are very serious: twice a month they demonstrate new technologies in their propaganda space. The emphasis is on long-range weapons. Today’s military reforms in Azerbaijan are aimed at creating a single hybrid force of the West and Turkey. Although I must add that, as far as I have been able to study, the fighting spirit of our soldiers and their readiness to fight are much higher. The enemy’s advantage lies primarily in technology or numbers.”
