Speed skater Denis Ayrapetyan moves to Uzbekistan’s national team

Short track speed skater Denis Ayrapetyan has received approval from the International Skating Union (ISU) to transfer to the national team of Uzbekistan.

The athlete’s intention to change his sporting nationality became known in October 2024. At that time, the Russian Skating Union imposed a two-year quarantine on the short tracker, but it was eventually cut short.
